The NYS Department of Health maintains a Cooling Tower registration database. The registered cooling tower(s) require regular inspections and testing per section 225(5)(a) of the Public Health Law, Part 4 of Title 10.

Monthly sampling is required for bacteria and quarterly testing is required for Legionella. Legionella control is important to everyone’s health.

The quarterly inspections are required to be performed by a licensed Professional Engineer or qualified consultant. Frontier both inspects and monitors cooling towers.
